SWEET SURRENDER by Nikki Winter

Description: When Brianna Grayson tries to pull a love ’em and leave ’em on her brother-in-law, Dane Halima, she finds out the sexy way that this sheriff won’t take no for an answer.

The Good: I love that the heroine is big-boned. And Ms. Winter infuses humor in with her smoking hot sex scenes.

The Bad: I don’t mind short and sweet, but I abhor short and underdeveloped. ¬†Unfortunately this was the latter. Ms. Winter gives Brianna a great character profile, but leaves her emotional life and relationship with Dane unexplored. This lack of character and story development makes Brianna come off as overly-prickly, and though we’re told that Dane loves her attitude, we’re not shown why. For $2.99, this story was just too short — it could easily have been expanded into a novella.

The Naughty: Erotic, explicit sex scenes and language.

Editing issues: One typo.

Publisher: Beautiful Trouble Publishing

Length: short-short (like really short)

Final Grade: C
